Meet Bridget Cahill

Bridget Cahill is the Assistant General Manager at Industrious, a workspace provider with 15 locations in the DMV area (and more than 200 nationwide). She wants people to know how Industrious nurtures communities and helps professionals grow by connecting them to others.

Industrious serves as a crucial bridge, fostering connections and helping ideas flourish. As remote work can sometimes feel isolating and hinder productivity, we’re truly thankful for Industrious’s support, enabling TEDxLogan Circle to thrive with an office in their Metro Center location.

To learn more about Industrious’s dedication to community, our team member Caroline Sainsard recently met with Bridget at their DC Mount Vernon location, in Spring 2025.

Tell us a more about Industrious. What is your role? What do you like about your job?

Industrious’s bread and butter is really the hospitality piece. We focus on making very custom comfortable office spaces to make people genuinely want to come to the office and create a place where people feel like they belong. I joined Industrious in December 2019. I now oversee the NW DC and Maryland markets, making sure our spaces are nice, full and vibrant, and supporting the local teams onsite. My favorite part about Industrious is the people. Genuinely, that is what makes me want to come to work everyday.

How do you make an impact on the communities you work with?

Community cooperation is very important at Industrious. We aim to fix this very contemporary problem of people feeling lonely and isolated when working from home. For this reason, we are very intentional about introducing members to each other when it could be a good match. During our happy hour spotlights, we allow a company to speak about what they do and connect with companies/people of interest. We really want our members to feel welcome and see us as an extension of their team, and as a platform that they can use to help their company continue to grow.

What are you most looking forward to about collaborating with TEDxLogan Circle again? We loved working with you since 2024 when we started!

Industrious has three values at heart and hands: we think strategically, we act empathetically and we get things done. I think that’s paired very well with TEDxLogan Circle’s mission to be open, supportive and ambitious. When you take a step back, it’s kind of the perfect partnership. It has been so fabulous to work with the TEDxLogan Circle team. They are so invested in what they do, and so excited to inspire people, and help them connect and get to the next step. Just through TEDxLogan Circle, we’ve been able to introduce so many people into Industrious, and the community that we have and the collaborations that we want to support. TEDxLogan Circle is really about ideas worth spreading and Industrious is about providing this platform for these ideas to grow. It has been a great match!

Our 2025 TEDxLogan Circle theme is "Rethink Courage." When you think of that theme, what does courage mean to you?

Being courageous is doing something that scares you when no one is watching. What that means to me, it’s not about being loud and bold, but really about being consistent, especially in the way I show up for my team and my members in our different spaces.

What do you like the most about the DC neighborhoods you work in?

I love living in DC, I love walking down 14th street NW and seeing all the energy of people getting to work, walking their dogs or going on a run. It really puts you in the right mindset. I love all the events. I love going to the Dupont Circle farmers market on Sunday. I just love the energy!
